CONFESSIONS OF A FIRST TIMER
I unknowingly enrolled in my first Basic Training session when I stumbled across it while enrolling my daughter in a class at the rec center.
I embarked on my new exercise regimen with some uncertainty but a great deal of determinatiion.
It only took me a short time to realize that regular attendance would provide optimal fitness. Armed with determination and dedication, I have maintained perfect attendance and moved down two holes on my belt.
I have reaped other benefits from class including new friends, although I only know their nicknames, improved energy level and loss of 10 pounds in one six week session.
I am now ready for Mondays. I don't dread it because Basic Training has gotten me in the zone!!!

I signed up for Basic Training as a repeat offender after having my second child in October of 2004. Being a mere 5'3" tall and having an 8lb. 3 oz. boy, I was determined to lose the 53 pounds I had gained during pregnancy. The pregnancy had left me completely uncomfortable and discouraged about my physical condition. I wanted those XXXtra pounds gone and FAST!!
I had first experienced the benefits of this class after having my first child. To make a long story short, I dropped all 48 pounds of my prenancy weight in two 6-week sessions and toned muscle groups I didn't even know existed. Of course, the icing on the cake was when many of my friends began asking how I whipped myself back into shape so quickly. When friends ask how you achieved such fabulous results in those words, you can't help but smile and feel good about what you are doing. Needless to say after getting my pysician's go ahead, I knew the best place for me to achieve the quick results I desired was to get myself back in to Basic Training. And I am happy to say that Basic Training has again helped me drop the weight, tone, strengthen, and generally feel physically fit again.
While the phsyical benefits are wonderful, the camaraderie and encouragement of the group are what keep you coming back for more. You look foreward to seeing your fellow recruits each morning and applauding each person's progress towards whatever goals they have for themselves. Make no mistake about it, you will work hard, you will feel pain, of course "pain is weakness leaving the body", you will be tired and sore at times, but you will feel a great sense of accomplishment. And remember Sirs "We Like it, We Love it, We Want Some More of It. Drive on Drill Sergeant, Drive On!"

When I started Basic Training I felt as if I had two left feet, but now I've straightened my life out and I'm a real trooper. Mornings and running were my least two favorite things in life and this month I'm celebrating my 1 year anniversary in the program. Sir and Sir make you laugh, make you cry and at times you can't understand why they are so cruel, but in the end --- it all works out for the better. Sign up today! You will get a kick out of the program and you won't be in any trouble.

I signed up for Basic Training because I was bored with my exercise routine -- and not getting anywhere. This class is exhilarating! The encouragement given by the Sirs and by fellow "enlistees" is tremendous. During my first 6 week session (platoon #17) I dropped a pant size and felt so much stronger and fit. Just recently I had a serious illness that put me on the sidelines for a while after surgeries. Basic training helped me greatly in my recovery -- it motivated me to get back into shape and be even better than before.

I went to a GYM before, but wouldn't go consistently. The Boot Camp program is more like a TEAM sport. It is much easier stay focused unlike with a GYM where it is you against the machine. There are teammates all around and you never feel left behind. The encouragement alone is worth it. That's what makes Boot CAMP better...it's a group effort.
